I already have a valuation from the store where I purchased my ring a few years ago; do I still need another valuation?
First of all an independent valuer will provide you with an in-depth appraisal this will ensure that you are not under or over- insuring your ring. Secondly values have changed over the last few years.
Is all of my jewellery covered in my home contents policy?
Depending upon your policy you may not be covered for loss or damage for all of your items. If specified they will need to be valued individually and photographed, we would provide you with the adequate advice, documentation to enable it to be scheduled correctly.
Will you need to remove my diamond from my ring in order to complete a valuation?
Diamonds or other gems do not need to be removed; your jewellery will be safe from any damage.
How much does the valuation cost?
Initial one hour consultation to include valuation of one item £75.00
£100 per hour thereafter (approximately four items will be valued per hour)
How often do I need to value my jewellery?
We recommend every year, of course unless you make changes or add pieces. With Prestige Valuations you will automatically be entitled to on-line update on a timely basis, you will not need to worry about being out of date.
I would like to involve my mother and my sister in the consultation as they also have some family pieces we would like to have valued, is this possible?
